Our HR Consulting Team
All Kellie ever wanted to do was help people. She started out as a Sociology major, but decided after her freshman year she needed to find another way to help people or she wouldn’t be able to pay back her student loans! That was when she switched to Human Resources…and has studied and worked in that area ever since. In 2010, she found herself tired of the corporate world because she didn’t really feel like she was helping anyone there. As a result, she started Alternative HR that year. And we have been happily helping small businesses ever since.
Kellie Boysen, a certified professional in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP) has nearly 20 years of valuable Human Resource experience with organizations of many sizes, including three successful start-ups. She is the Owner of Alternative HR that specializes in partnering with small businesses to fulfill their HR responsibilities. Through her experiences, Kellie was able to learn from the success of some, and the mistakes of others. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an HR concentration. She is a member of both the local and national chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. Kellie has been honored by receiving the HR Professional of the Year from York SHRM for 2014. She also enjoys volunteering as a member of the Junior League of York, SCORE, and as a York County Economic Alliance Ambassador.
Maria has 15+ years of diverse and extensive human resources and management experience in a variety of industries including IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare and Construction.
Maria earned her Associate in Arts Degree in Business Administration and Management from Harrisburg Area Community College. She has obtained her SHRM-CP certification from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2015 and her aPHR certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute in 2016.
She is a member of the Human Resource Professionals of Central PA (HRPCPA) as well as the national chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Her passion is providing HR support to her clients and helping them meet their HR goals.
Ben Allatt is a local executive in Harrisburg, PA with over 15 years of experience in the Human Resource field. Additionally, he is devoted to serving the community at large. This passion has driven him to become more involved in local government. Ben is an HR Consultant with Alternative HR where he works with clients on building, maintaining, and growing their HR functions. Additionally, he provides training and strategic guidance on growing their human capital. Ben earned a degree in Human Resource Management and a minor in Speech Communications from Messiah College. One of Ben’s passions is working with diversity and inclusion programs. He has played an integral role in making diversity a priority both in the workplace and in the community. He has also developed diversity recruiting strategies for organizations to implement.
Beth has 15+ years of experience in the HR field working in manufacturing, defense and banking industries. Her professional experience includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding, new hire orientation, leave of absence and HRIS administration as well as event planning. Beth earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Penn State University. She has a passion for meeting people and helping to foster positive work relationships while partnering with clients to meet their business needs.
Alternative HR is pleased to welcome Kristi Glatfelter to the team. Kristi has 15+ years of experience working in trucking, manufacturing and distribution, and nonprofit industries. Her professional experience expands from executive leadership, finance, and HR roles. In April of 2022, Kristi obtained her aPHR and solidified her passion for the human resources profession. She believes employees are the number one asset in an organization, which is her motivation to advocate for employees and to cultivate a healthy positive organizational culture.
